The TalentLayer Core Team is an all-technical team with a track record building scalable infrastructure and open-source communities. We’ve all been freelancers and hired freelancers. Some of us have built hiring tech marketplaces as priors startups. Together, we’re leading the open-source movement that’s behind TalentLayer.
TalentLayer was co-founded by Kirsten and Romain. Quentin, our Founding Engineer has been here since nearly day 1.
Kirsten has been contributing to open-source blockchain tech since 2019. She co-lead the IEEE’s Blockchain Governance Working Group and growing it to 200+ contributors across 6 continents. She spent a year growing the team behind FACINGS, a venture-backed white-label NFT marketplace platform. In a prior life, she was a freelance software developer moonlighting on various revenue-generating software startups including an influencer marketing marketplace and online education platform.
Romain has spent the last seven years as the CTO of a major sports news and data company in Europe. He built a team that developed the infrastructure, mobile applications, and websites, which are now visited by millions of users. For the past four years, he has worked on various profitable crypto projects across DeFi, NFT, and other sectors in his spare time. With a decade of freelancing experience, he has built and launched several projects, managing them from the idea conception to production.
Quentin has spent the last five years as a full-stack software engineer working for multiple software companies as a freelancer and dedicated team member. Before his career in software, he worked for seven years as a renewable energy engineer; managing the development of large-scale energy facilities across South-East Asia and Oceania. Quentin has specialized in Solidity development for the past year and a half; directly before TalentLayer, Quentin was building a similar open network protocol for real estate markets.
TalentLayer is maintained by community of open-source contributors, let by the Core Team. All team members have been freelancers, most have hired freelancers, and some have built gig marketplaces. Together, they’re a united front building a better way to do work. We represent 9+ nationalities and even more languages. To date we’ve had 20+ people contribute to our open-source development and biz ops to get TalentLayer where it is today.
